Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story is a role-playing game in the Super Mario Bros. subseries, Mario & Luigi. The game was released in 2009 and is the most recent entry in the series, focusing more on Bowser's conflict with Fawful that eventually gets the Mario Bros. involved... by getting themselves into Bowser's body due to Bowser devouring a Vacuum Shroom. The Bros. have to deal with enemies from the inside, although they can eventually get out of Bowser's body.

Representation in Super Smash Bros. ClashEdit

Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story gets decent representation in Super Smash Bros. Clash. Fawful's Theme in this game is one of the two songs that make up his theme. The Final Boss battle music has also gotten a remix that plays on Bowser's Castle. A couple pieces of artwork from the game are listed as stickers.

For trophies, Midbus, the Dark Star, Dr. Toadley, Starlow (Chippy, as Bowser calls her) and Broque Monsieur were lucky enough to get this treatment.

Two of Bowser's colors are inspired by characters in the game. Namely, his seventh and eighth colors resemble an evil clone of himself and Midbus, respectively.

The vast majority of Fawful's moveset and his character design come from this game. His Dark Star-powered alternate form, Dark Fawful, is a Master Fighter and boss character in The Dark Tournament: Adventure Mode.
