For the 1991 game by the same name, see Sonic the Hedgehog (1991 game). For the series in general, see Sonic the Hedgehog (universe). For the character, see Sonic (Clash).

Sonic the Hedgehog is an infamous "platformer" in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It was released in 2006 (as the article name suggests) to celebrate the series' 15th anniversary and didn't exactly fit that well.

It revolves around Princess Elisa, a girl from Soleanna who is the key to the "Flames of Disaster". Dr. Eggman learns of this and wants to use her and the Chaos Emeralds to rule over time. Eventually, Sonic gets tangled up in this, having to protect Elise from Eggman's clutches. Later, a telekenitic pair of a hedgehog and a cat, Silver and Blaze respectively, arrive from the future and into the past to destroy the "Iblis Trigger" in order to prevent a sour future. Shadow the Hedgehog eventually gets involved in a feud with Mephiles the Dark, who plans to activate the Iblis Trigger.

No, really. That's the plot. It gets worse.

Representation in Super Smash Bros. ClashEdit

Silver the Hedgehog, a character who made his debut in this game, has his color scheme is used for Sonic's third main costume color.

What is widely agreed to be the game's only decent characteristic, the soundtrack, also gets some notes in Clash. The songs that play during the Solaris Phase 2 boss fight and in Crisis City are playable tracks on Death Egg.

Alongside Silver the Hedgehog, Mephiles the Dark obtains a trophy.

As you can tell, though, generally this game gets mocked throughout the game and this wiki.
